Can a pregnancy test be positive at 3 days?

Hey, there's no such thing as a stupid question! It's totally understandable to wonder about these things. Here's the deal: while it's technically possible for some highly sensitive pregnancy tests to detect pregnancy as early as three days after conception, it's not very common.

At this early stage, the levels of the hormone human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), which pregnancy tests detect, are usually still very low. So, while there's a chance you could get a positive result, it's more likely that you'd still get a negative result at this point.

The best time to take a pregnancy test for accurate results is after you've missed your period, typically around one to two weeks after conception. This gives your body enough time to produce higher levels of hCG that are easier for the test to detect.

If you're really anxious to find out if you're pregnant, it might be tempting to take a test early, but keep in mind that there's a higher chance of getting a false negative result. It's often best to wait a bit longer for more accurate results.

And remember, whatever the result, it doesn't make you stupid at all. It's all part of the journey, and it's okay to have questions along the way. If you're unsure or need support, don't hesitate to reach me out. You've got this!
